At the end of the day, the success of every company is built on the strength of its team, which is why at Hex we make an explicit effort to support the professional development of the folks who work here. In service of this, Hex will contribute up to $500 annually towards professional development opportunities.

We're not going to enumerate all of the possible opportunities for professional development. Some examples might include speaking opportunities, reading groups and books, blog posts, conferences or online classes, but there are many more options out there. Be creative, and talk to your Lead if you have an idea or questions!

There are only a few requirements for eligibility for the subsidy:

  1. You must propose a specific project and scope in writing (doesn't have to be long) to your lead and receive their approval.
  2. It must be relevant to your role or contributions at Hex.
  3. You must contribute something back to the Hex product or knowledge base. For example, you could present a summary of takeaways from a conference, or write up a blog post for the site.
