Overview
I conducted comprehensive UX research to define the product vision for an HR experience platform focusing on talent assessment, learning and development (L&D), and HR consulting. The goal was to identify key challenges, user needs, and market opportunities to create a solution that drives better hiring, skill development, and strategic HR decision-making.
Research Goals
- Understand the end-to-end journey of HR professionals, hiring managers, and employees.
- Identify pain points in talent assessment, skill development, and performance tracking.
- Assess the effectiveness of existing HR platforms and uncover usability gaps.
- Define key product opportunities that align with modern HR needs and trends.
Methodology
- Stakeholder Interviews – Engaged with HR leaders, talent managers, and L&D specialists to gather insights.
- User Persona Development – Mapped different HR roles and employee needs to tailor the experience.
- Competitive Analysis – Evaluated leading HR platforms (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Learning, SAP SuccessFactors).
- Journey Mapping – Visualized hiring, training, and career progression workflows to find friction points.
- Surveys & Usability Testing – Collected quantitative and qualitative data on current platform experiences.
Key Findings & Challenges
Talent Assessment
- Bias & Subjectivity – HR teams lacked data-driven assessment tools for unbiased hiring.
- Slow & Inefficient Screening – Manual processes increased time-to-hire and decision fatigue.
