The list below states Yerbo's product principles, which should guide decision making for future feature tradeoffs. We should consider this list as a contract with our users to provide transparency on what they should expect from our product.

Further below, a list of (not always so obvious) good practices for prioritizing features and defining scope.

Cool post from John Cuttler on how to do Product Principles right https://twitter.com/johncutlefish/status/1361455895222263809

Privacy First

even when the buyer company demands more granularity on reports.

Users trust us with very sensitive information like how they feel and their emotions. We always push to create a safe environment for them where they can express themselves honestly without taking any risk.

User Tailored

even if that means having an empty spot on the dashboard

The user will decide the pace and usage frequency. The user is able to snooze, reschedule and even skip interventions from the tool when they are not perceived as necessary. The user decides what to do and when, at the expense of speed of improvement.

Unified experience

even if that means narrower catalog breadth

Each resource (Burnout Tracker, Mood Tracker, Dashboards, etc) is part of a greater whole and should contribute positively to the system at scale. There should be no isolated features or outliers.

Instructiveness

even if that means not being succinct

The user journey should be enriched with general knowledge about behavioral psychology, not only numbers and tips. We should aim for each session being a educational experience in addition to contributing to the user happiness and self awareness.
