The Role
We're looking for a Product Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and consumer goods. You'll be the intelligence engine behind our product decisions—mining sales data, monitoring competitors, and identifying the next big opportunity in our portfolio.
You'll tackle:
- Performance Analytics: Track SKU-level sales, margin, and inventory turn across retail channels (mass, specialty, e-commerce) to identify winners, losers, and white space.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, product launches, and customer reviews to keep NYL Holdings ahead of the curve.
- Forecasting & Planning: Build demand models and collaborate with supply chain to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstock.
- Assortment Strategy: Analyze category trends and customer behavior to recommend which products to launch, refresh, or discontinue.
- Reporting & Insights: Create dashboards and presentations for leadership that turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with sales, marketing, product design, and operations to align strategy across the business.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 2–4+ years in product analysis, category management, or business intelligence (consumer goods experience preferred).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills—pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling are second nature.
- Experience with analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SQL is a strong plus.
- E-commerce analytics experience (Amazon, Walmart.com, Shopify) highly valued.
- Sharp business instincts—you connect dots between data and real-world retail dynamics.
- Clear communicator who can present findings to both analytical and creative audiences.
