HealthBrief ("the app," "we," "our") is built with a simple principle: your
health data belongs to you, and it stays on your device. This policy explains
exactly what data the app accesses, how it's used, and what it never does.
1. Data we access
HealthBrief reads data from Apple HealthKit that you explicitly authorize,
which may include:
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability
- Blood oxygen saturation and respiratory rate
- Sleep analysis
- Workout and activity data
- Blood glucose (if you have a connected glucose monitor syncing to Apple Health)
- Blood pressure (if manually logged or connected via a compatible device)
- VO2 max
You control exactly which of these categories the app can access through
Apple's Health permissions screen, and you can revoke access at any time in
Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > HealthBrief on your device.
2. How your data is used
- All health data is read and processed entirely on your device.
- Health data is used only to generate the reports you request inside the
app (for example, a PDF summary for a doctor's appointment).
- HealthBrief does not operate a server or database that stores your
health data. We do not have access to it, cannot see it, and cannot
retrieve it.
- Generated PDF reports are stored locally on your device until you choose
to share or delete them. Sharing a report (for example, via email or
AirDrop) is a deliberate action you take using your device's native share
sheet — HealthBrief does not transmit reports anywhere on its own.
3. Data we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your health data, on any server we operate
