1. Introduction
Pulse ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Pulse application. Pulse does not require an account, a login, or any personal identity to use. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal, anonymous information to provide and improve the App:
- Anonymous device record (sent to our backend): a random device identifier (UUID) generated on your device on first launch, together with your device time zone, language/locale, platform, app version, and a last-seen timestamp. This record is anonymous — it is not your name, email, Apple ID, phone number, or advertising identifier, and it is not linked to your real-world identity. We use it to deliver the correct briefing at your local time and to understand audience geography in aggregate.
- Device settings stored locally: language preferences and notification settings stored on your device.
- Usage data and diagnostics: anonymous analytics such as app launches, feature usage, and crash reports to improve performance and stability.
- Subscription data: purchase and subscription status processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat for subscription management.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
Pulse does NOT collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Precise or GPS location, or IP-based location stored by us
- Contacts or address book data
- Photos, camera, or microphone data
- Browsing or search history outside the App
- Financial or banking information
- Health or biometric data
(Note: we read your device time zone to schedule briefings — a time zone is not GPS or precise location.)
4. How We Use Information
