Welcome to BetterWaves. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, and protect your data when you use the BetterWaves mobile application. BetterWaves is an AI-powered wellness assistant designed to help you navigate stress and track wellness metrics.
- Information We Collect
To provide a personalized and empathetic experience, we collect account information, wellness and physiological data, voice and text data, and device or connection data such as IP address, device type, and authentication tokens.
- How We Process Your Data
BetterWaves uses advanced AI systems to understand and respond to you. Our current sub-processors may include Deepgram for speech-to-text, Gemini and Groq for LLM inference, and ElevenLabs for speech-related services. These providers are configured for inference-only use. Your data is not used to train public AI models, and we aim to keep provider-side retention limited to the immediate session where supported.
- Cloud Sync and Retention
By default, your data stays local to your device. With your explicit consent, BetterWaves securely syncs data to Supabase-backed cloud services for cross-device access. We follow a rolling deletion model for semantic conversation summaries and aim to remove them after 30 days.
- Security
We use HTTPS and WSS for data in transit, encryption for data at rest, and row-level security tied to your account identity.
