Effective Date: October 2, 2025
NEXTEON LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the NEO Browser application ("the App" or "the Service"). This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information.
Our guiding principle is to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide and improve our service. We believe your browsing activity is private and should remain that way.
1. Our Privacy Philosophy
NEO Browser was fundamentally built on the principle of user privacy.
- We do not track you. We do not create user profiles based on your browsing habits.
- We do not sell your data. Our business model does not rely on selling user data.
- We aim for full transparency. This policy explains what little information we do collect and why it's necessary for the App to function and improve.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about the sensitive data we do not collect:
- Personal Browsing History: NEO Browser does not log, track, or store the websites you visit on our servers. Your history, cache, and cookies are stored locally on your device and are under your control.
- Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account to use NEO Browser. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Standard Search Queries: Your search queries entered into the address bar are sent directly to your chosen search engine (e.g., Google, DuckDuckGo) and are subject to their privacy policies. We do not intercept or store them.
3. Information We DO Collect (And Why)
To maintain and improve the App, we collect a limited set of non-personal data:
- Anonymous Usage Analytics: We may collect aggregated and anonymized data about how you interact with the features of the App itself (e.g., which settings are used, if a feature is popular). This helps us understand what's working and what isn't so we can build a better browser. This data is not tied to you or your device's unique ID.
- Crash Reports: If the App crashes, you may be prompted to send a diagnostic report. These reports are anonymous and include information like your device type, operating system version, and a log of events that led up to the crash. We use this information solely to diagnose and fix bugs.
- AI Feature Data: When you use the AI overlay, the content of your query and necessary context from the current page are sent to our third-party AI service providers in order to generate a response.
- We do not store the content of your AI queries or their responses on our servers.
- We strongly advise against submitting any personal, sensitive, or confidential information into the AI features. The use of these third-party services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Voluntary Communication: If you contact us for support via email, we will have your email address and the contents of your message. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry.
4. How We Use Information
