Welcome to MedCase - Medical Simulation ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. MedCase is an educational and simulation application designed for medical students, healthcare professionals, and enthusiasts.
CRITICAL MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: MedCase is a simulation tool for educational purposes only. It is NOT a diagnostic tool. Users are strictly prohibited from entering any real Protected Health Information (PHI), real patient data, or any personally identifiable medical records into the application. All scenarios generated are purely fictional.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using MedCase, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We practice data minimization and do not require you to create an account with your real name, email, or phone number.
- Anonymous Authentication Data: We use anonymous login methods. Your device is assigned a random, unique User ID to save your simulation progress locally and in the cloud. We do not know who you are.
- Simulation Inputs (User-Generated Prompts): Text or selections you input into the app to generate medical cases are processed by our AI models. You must not input real patient data.
- Usage and Device Data: We automatically collect diagnostic data such as device model, operating system version, app usage duration, and crash reports to improve app stability and user experience.
3. Third-Party Services & SDKs
To provide you with a seamless and premium experience, we utilize industry-standard third-party services. These services have their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase: Used for anonymous authentication (Firebase Auth), database management (Firestore), and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
- RevenueCat: Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. We do not collect or store your credit card or payment details. All financial transactions are securely processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).
- Google Gemini API: Used as the Artificial Intelligence engine to generate fictional medical scenarios based on your inputs.
- Meta SDK: Used for app analytics and measuring the effectiveness of our user acquisition campaigns. No personally identifiable information (PII) is shared from our end.
4. How We Use Your Information
The collected information is used exclusively for the following purposes:
