1. Introduction

Lumenbit Pro is a browser extension designed to help users capture, organize, and refine web content. We operate under a "Local-First" philosophy. This means we prioritize your privacy by keeping your data on your device, not on our servers.

2. Data We Handle (and Why)

To provide its core functionality, Lumenbit Pro handles the following data only upon user action:

• User-Captured Content: Text you explicitly select and save, including your added notes, tags, and categories.
• Contextual Information: Page titles, URLs, and timestamps are saved alongside your clips to help you trace back to the original source.
• Integration Credentials: If enabled, your API keys (e.g., Google Gemini) and integration tokens (e.g., Notion, Telegram) are stored locally in your browser’s encrypted storage.

3. Local-First Storage

We do not operate backend servers. All captured text, diary entries, and task lists are stored locally within your Chrome browser storage. We cannot see, read, or access your data.

4. Third-Party Data Transmission

Data is only transmitted to third-party services when explicitly configured and triggered by you:

• AI Refinement (Google Gemini): When you request a summary or refinement, the selected text is sent directly to Google Gemini via your own API key.
• External Sync (Notion/Telegram): Content is sent directly to your configured accounts.
• Direct Connection: These requests are made directly from your browser to the service provider. No data ever passes through a developer-owned server.

5. Permission Justification

In compliance with Chrome Web Store policies, we clarify our use of sensitive permissions:

• sidePanel & activeTab: To provide a seamless capture interface without interrupting your reading.
• alarms: To power the "Daily Recap" feature, triggering local notifications to help you organize your daily clips.
