1. Information We Collect

   1.1. User Content

   • Dream Text and Prompts: You submit dream descriptions and follow-up questions to our App. These are transmitted to OpenAI's API servers to generate AI-powered analysis and returned to you.

   1.2. Diagnostic Data

   • Crash Reports & Performance Logs: With your consent, we automatically collect crash logs, performance statistics, and error reports to diagnose issues and enhance App stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

   • Provide Services: To process your dream analysis requests, deliver AI responses, and maintain session continuity.
   • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot App issues based on diagnostic logs.
   • App Functionality: To enable features, prevent crashes, improve performance, and ensure proper operation.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

   • Third-Party AI Service (OpenAI): Your dream text and prompts are shared with OpenAI solely for analysis. OpenAI's privacy practices govern their handling of that data.
   • CloudKit Sync: Your chat sessions are stored in Apple's iCloud to sync across your devices. Apple's privacy policies apply to that data.
   • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data when required by law or in good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal process.

4. Data Retention

   • Chat Sessions: Persist until you delete them within the App. Deleting a session removes it locally and from iCloud.
   • Diagnostic Data: Retained for up to 12 months for support purposes, then purged.

5. Security

   • Encryption: All network communications use HTTPS/TLS.
   • Storage: Dream entries and session data are encrypted at rest in Core Data and iCloud.
   • Access Control: Your data is isolated to your Apple ID account; no account creation or password is required.

6. Your Rights & Choices

   • Delete Data: You can delete individual chat sessions in the Journal tab.
   • Revoke iCloud Sync: Disable iCloud in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud to stop syncing.

7. Children's Privacy

   • Lucidia is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

   • We may update this policy to reflect changes in practices or legal requirements. We will notify you via App release notes or in-App notice.
