This privacy policy describes how the LinkedIn Job Tracker Chrome Extension ("we", "our", or "the extension") handles user data. By using this extension, you consent to the practices outlined below.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server controlled by the developer or third parties. However, for functionality purposes, the extension accesses and temporarily uses the following data:

1.1. Locally Stored via Chrome Storage

The following user-provided credentials are securely stored using Chrome's storage.sync:

• Notion Integration Token: Used to authenticate requests made to the user’s Notion workspace via the official Notion API.
• Notion Database ID: Used to identify which Notion database the extension should populate.

These credentials are stored only on the user's device and are never transmitted or accessed externally by the developer.

1.2. Scraped From LinkedIn Job Listings (client-side only)

The extension reads visible job-related data only when the user clicks the "Apply" button on a LinkedIn job post. The following information is scraped:

• Job Title (e.g. Software Engineer)
• Company Name (e.g. Google)
• Location (e.g. Berlin, Germany)
• Application Source (automatically tagged as "LinkedIn")
• Date of Application (automatically recorded at the time of button click)

These fields are then sent directly from the content script to the backend, and then from backend to the user’s Notion database via official Notion API.

The backend only acts as a secure proxy and does not store or persist any job data.
