We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Data Collection Overview
IdeaFlash operates on a local-first principle, meaning:
- All your notes and data are stored locally on your device by default
- Cloud synchronization features are entirely optional and require explicit user consent
- We do not collect any analytics, tracking data, or telemetry
- We do not collect personal information unless you explicitly choose to use cloud features
Information We Collect
1. Local Data Storage
When you use IdeaFlash, the following data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB:
- Note Content: The titles and content of notes you create
- Timestamps: Creation and modification dates for your notes
- Note Identifiers: Unique IDs for each note (generated locally)
- User Preferences: Interface settings and preferences
This local data:
- Never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud synchronization
- Is not accessible to us or any third parties
