– Charging Guard & Anti‑Unplug Alarm
Last updated: August 23, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how HoldOn ("the App") handles your information. HoldOn is designed to detect charger unplug events and trigger a local alarm for device security. It does not collect personal data unless explicitly stated below.
1) Information We Collect
- No personal data collection: HoldOn does not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as name, email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers.
- Local device events: The App listens to system broadcasts (e.g., power connected/disconnected) to detect charger state. This processing occurs entirely on the device and is not transmitted off the device.
- Authentication status: When stopping the alarm, the App requests system biometric/lock-screen authentication. The App does not access or store biometric data; Android performs the verification and only returns success/failure to the App.
2) Permissions Used and Purpose
- Foreground service: Keeps the alarm monitoring active and reliable.
- Post notifications: Shows a persistent notification while monitoring is active.
- Vibrate/audio: Plays/vibrates the alarm when unplug is detected.
- Optional media access (if you set a custom alarm from local storage): Used solely to play your selected sound; audio files are not uploaded or collected.
The App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or SMS permissions.
3) Data Processing and Storage
- All processing is on-device.
- The App may store simple preferences (e.g., settings) locally via Android SharedPreferences. These remain on your device and are not shared with us.
- We do not maintain servers for this App and do not receive your data.
4) Third‑Party Services
- The App does not integrate analytics, advertising SDKs, or third‑party trackers.
- No data is shared with third parties.
