OVERVIEW Habitool is designed with privacy in mind. Your habit data is stored locally on your device and is never sold or shared with third parties.
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE All habits, check-ins, and progress data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it via CSV.
APPLE HEALTH (OPTIONAL) If you choose to connect Habitool to Apple Health, the app may read workout, step, or other health data to auto-complete relevant habits. This data is accessed locally and is never transmitted to any server.
ANALYTICS Habitool uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g. which screens are visited, when habits are created or completed). This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to improve the app. PostHog data is stored on EU servers. You can opt out of analytics at any time in Settings → General → Analytics.
PURCHASES Habitool uses RevenueCat to manage Pro subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect your Apple App Store purchase receipt and a randomly generated device identifier to validate your subscription. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
NOTIFICATIONS If you grant permission, Habitool sends local push notifications as habit reminders. These are generated on-device and no notification content is sent to any server.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Habitool is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
