What is Cue?
Cue is a Chrome extension that helps developers insert design tokens (colors, animations, movement values) into AI builder prompt fields. It activates when you type /q on supported sites like Claude, ChatGPT, v0, Bolt, Lovable, and Figma.
What data does Cue collect?
Cue collects anonymous usage analytics to improve the product. This includes:
- A randomly generated anonymous ID (UUID) stored locally in your browser — this is not linked to your identity in any way
- Which supported site you used Cue on (e.g. "claude.ai"), but never the content of your prompts
- Aggregated usage counts: how many times the dropdown was opened, tokens were selected, and prompts were sent
- Extension version and install/update timestamps
- Whether the onboarding hint was shown or dismissed
What data does Cue NOT collect?
- No personal information (name, email, account details)
- No prompt content, conversations, or text you type
- No browsing history or activity outside of supported AI builder sites
- No authentication tokens, passwords, or credentials
- No data from the pages you visit — Cue only reads its own UI interactions
How is data collected?
Anonymous analytics are sent to Mixpanel (https://mixpanel.com), a third-party analytics service, solely for understanding how the extension is used and improving the experience. Mixpanel's privacy policy is available at https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
