Bookmark Graveyard ("the Extension") is designed to respect and protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your data.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All operations performed by the Extension happen locally on your device. The Extension does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or any remote databases to store your information.
The Extension requires specific permissions to function correctly. Here is exactly why they are needed:
bookmarks: Required to read your bookmark tree so the Extension can identify and list the URLs you have saved. It is also required to safely delete the bookmarks you explicitly choose to remove.storage: Required to save your scan settings (concurrency, timeout) and to persist scan progress so it can resume if Chrome restarts the background worker.alarms: Required to support optional automated monthly background scans.<all_urls> (Host Permission): Required to perform automated HTTP HEAD and GET requests in the background. The Extension pings the websites you have bookmarked strictly to verify if the link returns a successful status code or a 404/dead error. No information about you or your browsing history is sent to us or any third party. The Extension does not integrate with any third-party services. All bookmark scanning and management happens entirely on your local device.
If the core functionality of the Extension changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this policy accordingly.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the Extension, please contact the developer via the support tab in the Chrome Web Store.
