Alt Text Inspector is a Chrome extension designed to help users identify and view the alt text on images within emails and webpages, specifically in Gmail and Outlook web interfaces.

This extension:

• Does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data
• Does not use analytics, tracking scripts, or third-party services
• Operates entirely within the user's browser, and only when manually activated
• Does not access content beyond Gmail and Outlook web unless explicitly granted permission by the user

All functionality is local to the device. No user data is transmitted off the machine or stored remotely. The extension only scans for <img> tags and their alt attributes in the current page’s DOM when triggered by the user.
