The developer of Resist establishes this privacy policy to protect the personal information of users of the app and to address any related complaints. The Application is distributed solely via the Apple App Store and is operated from the European Union (Spain). This policy does not cover Google Play or other distribution channels
1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
- Account registration and management: registration confirmation, user identification/authentication, account maintenance and management, prevention of misuse, and service-related communications.
- Service provision: delivering the savings and impulse-tracking service, syncing user data across devices when an account is used, and verifying identity when necessary.
- Subscription management and in-app purchase validation: verifying subscription status (active, expired, trial), fraud prevention, and enabling access to Resist PRO features through technical providers (including RevenueCat) and Apple’s payment platform (App Store).
- Handling consumer complaints and requests: identifying the data subject, confirming complaints or requests, contacting users to investigate facts, and notifying users of processing outcomes.
- Improving the Application and developing new features.
- Compliance with legal obligations applicable in the European Union and Spain.
2. Categories of Personal Information Processed
The Company collects and processes the following personal information from users of the Application:
- Information collected through account registration (when the user chooses to register): email address and account identifier used for authentication and synchronization.
- Information obtained through Sign in with Apple (when the user chooses “Sign in with Apple”):
| Sign-up method |
Information obtained |
| Sign in with Apple |
Email address (or private relay email), Apple user identifier |
- Information entered by the user while using the service: saved amounts, categories, savings goals, and resisted-impulse history. This data is stored on the user’s device and, when an account is used, may be securely synchronized for backup purposes.
- Payment and subscription: when the user subscribes to Resist PRO, payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store). In addition, the Application uses RevenueCat as a technical processor to validate purchases, manage restores, and determine subscription status. For this purpose, account identifiers (such as an internal user identifier), subscription/transaction identifiers, and technical metadata required for service validation may be processed. The Company does not collect or store full payment card information.
- Automatically collected information related to use of the Application (where applicable): device type, operating system version, App Store-related information (e.g., app version), and basic diagnostic data needed to provide and improve the service. The Application also uses an analytics SDK (Amplitude) to collect aggregated information about feature usage (e.g., screens viewed, buttons tapped, or completion of onboarding and paywall screens). These analytics data are linked to an internal user identifier or device identifier to understand usage patterns and improve the Application, but are not used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and do not include payment card data or sensitive financial content beyond the amounts and categories entered by the user in the app.
- For complaint/request handling: the Company may process the minimum information necessary from the categories above, as required to respond.
3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
The Company retains personal information while the user maintains an account and uses the services. When the user requests account deletion, or when the Company no longer needs the information for the purposes for which it was collected, the Company will delete or anonymize relevant personal information without undue delay, subject to applicable law.
