Prayback is a faith-based community where people share prayer requests, pray for one another, and engage in guided spiritual practices. We are committed to handling your personal information with care and transparency. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information

We collect the following depending on the sign-in method you choose:

• Apple Sign In: Your Apple-assigned user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay email.
• Google Sign In: Your Google account name, email address, and profile photo URL.
• Email & Password: Your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Anonymous / Guest: No personally identifiable information is required. A temporary account ID is assigned to your device.

Profile Information

You may optionally add a display name, a short biography, a profile photo, and a header/banner image. This information is visible to other users of the app.

Prayer Content

When you post a prayer request, we collect the text, the category you select, and whether you choose to post anonymously. Your display name is associated with non-anonymous posts.

Comments & Reports

Text comments you write on prayer threads, and any reports you submit about posts or profiles (including the reason selected).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Analytics (Aptabase)

We use Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not sell data. We track aggregate events such as app launch, prayer posting, prayer mode sessions, and feature usage — never individual content or identity.
