PosterWords does not collect any personally identifiable information. Here is how your data is handled:
AI Scenario Generation: Your scenario text is sent via a Cloudflare Worker proxy to an AI model (DeepSeek / OpenAI-compatible API) for real-time content generation. Requests include an anonymous device ID (quota management only). Prompts and results are not persisted.
Speech (Text-to-Speech): To produce natural pronunciation, the text to be spoken is sent via our Cloudflare Worker proxy to a third-party text-to-speech provider (Xiaomi MiMo). The generated audio is cached (on your device and on Cloudflare's edge/global cache, keyed by a hash of the text) to speed up repeat playback. No account or personal identifier is attached. An on-device system voice (Apple) may be used as a fallback.
Device Integrity (App Attest): To prevent abuse of our AI and speech services, the app uses Apple's App Attest / DeviceCheck to verify that requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app. This is an anti-fraud signal only; it does not identify you and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Bookmarks & Learning Data: Stored locally on your device. We cannot access them.
iCloud Sync (optional): Your learning data (bookmarks, review progress, and study streaks) is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. We cannot access it.
Subscription Management: Anonymous subscription status managed via RevenueCat. No personal information involved.
Usage & Diagnostics Analytics: To understand how features are used and to improve the app, we collect anonymous, aggregated product-interaction and diagnostic events (for example: which onboarding step was reached, that a lesson was generated, that a review session completed, or that a paywall was shown). These events are associated only with an anonymous device identifier (Apple's identifierForVendor — not the advertising identifier/IDFA, and resettable by you) and are processed via our Cloudflare Worker into Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. We do not collect your name, the text of your prompts, or any content that identifies you. This data is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We do not collect your name, contact info, location, contacts, advertising or tracking identifiers (IDFA/IMEI), photos, or audio files. The anonymous usage and diagnostics analytics described above are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across apps or websites.
