At Noteplus – Notes & Tasks, your privacy genuinely matters. This extension was created to help you think clearly, stay organized, and get things done — not to watch, track, or analyze you.

1. Information We Collect

Noteplus does not collect, track, sell, or transmit any personal data.

All notes, tasks, reminders, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s secure storage API. Your data never leaves your browser.

We do not use cookies, analytics services, trackers, or external databases of any kind.

2. How Your Data Is Used

Everything you create in Noteplus — notes, tasks, settings, and reminders — stays on your own device.

The extension simply saves this information locally so it’s available the next time you open your browser. There is no cloud sync, no background uploads, and no remote access to your data.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Noteplus will never share, sell, or disclose your data to third parties.

Your content remains private, isolated, and fully under your control at all times.

4. Permissions and Why They’re Needed

Noteplus uses a small set of standard Chrome permissions only to provide core functionality:

• storage – to save your notes, tasks, and preferences locally.
• sidePanel – to display the Noteplus sidebar while you browse.
• notifications – to send reminders and alerts you create yourself.
• tabs & activeTab – to link notes or tasks to the current page when needed.
• contextMenus – to add quick actions like “Save to Noteplus” on right-click.
