Overview

Meet Attendance Tracker is a Chrome extension that helps users track participant attendance during Google Meet calls. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how data is handled.

Data Collection

Meet Attendance Tracker does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers. All data stays on your device.

The extension processes the following information locally in your browser:

• Participant names visible in Google Meet's participant panel
• Join and leave timestamps during a meeting
• Meeting URLs for identification purposes

Data Storage

Attendance records are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage). This data never leaves your browser and is only accessible to you. You can clear all stored data at any time from the extension's History page.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties. The extension makes no network requests and does not communicate with any external servers.

Permissions

The extension requires the following browser permissions:

• activeTab — to read participant information from the current Google Meet tab
• storage — to save attendance history locally on your device

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
