1. What this Extension Does

The Extension helps users evaluate the credibility of online content. When activated, it:

• Extracts text from the current web page or from the text you manually highlight.
• Sends that text to our backend server for analysis.
• Uses AI models and search APIs to assess claims, check sources, and generate an explanation.
• Displays the results locally in a small pop-up panel.

The Extension does not automatically monitor your browsing.

It only activates when you explicitly click the extension icon or choose “Check selected text.”

2. What Data Is Processed

When you use the Extension, the following data may be processed:

• Page text or selected text: The text content of the webpage currently open, or only the text you highlight.
• Claims extracted from that text.
