Overview

Scanner - سكانر is a document scanning app developed by Ibrahim Aldawsary. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.

Data Stored on Your Device

Scanned documents and PDFs are processed and stored entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to any server controlled by the developer. When you share a PDF, it is sent only to the destination you choose (e.g., email, messaging app, cloud storage) through iOS's standard share sheet.

Camera Access

Scanner - سكانر requires access to your device's camera solely to capture documents for scanning. The camera is not used for any other purpose. Camera permission can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

Analytics

Scanner - سكانر uses PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data that helps improve the app. Collected events include:

• When a scan is started
• When a scan is completed (including the number of pages)
• When a PDF is shared (including the share destination type)
• When the manual adjust feature is used

These events do not include the content of your scans, your identity, or any personally identifiable information. PostHog assigns an anonymous device identifier that is not linked to you personally. Analytics data is stored on PostHog's EU servers. Learn more at https://posthog.com/privacy.

Data Not Collected

Scanner - سكانر does not collect:

• The content of scanned documents or PDFs
• Your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or any other personal files
