Welcome to Upwork Proposal AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension ("the Extension") collects, uses, and safeguards your information. ## 2. Information We Collect

The Extension is designed to operate as locally and privately as possible.

We do not collect, store, or transmit your Personal Identification Information (such as your name, address, or password) to our own servers.

### B. Upwork Job Data & Cover Letters

To generate proposals, the Extension extracts the text of the Upwork job description currently visible on your active tab. This text is sent securely via API directly to Anthropic (the AI provider) for the sole purpose of generating your proposal.

### C. API Keys

If you provide your own Anthropic API key, it is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local). We do not have access to your API key, and it is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Anthropic's secure API endpoints.

## 3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to:

• Provide the core functionality of the Extension (generating cover letters based on job descriptions).
• Store your preferences and API key locally on your device for your convenience.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
