NP Mentor Nephrology

This Privacy Policy describes how EMA Ventures ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the NP Mentor Nephrology mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including features accessed, time spent, and actions taken.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Voice Data: Voice recordings captured through the AI Note Scribe feature for transcription purposes. Recordings are processed by third-party services and are not stored by EMA Ventures.
• AI Input Data: Text inputs you type into the AI chatbot and clinical tools are sent to xAI's Grok AI service to generate responses. These inputs are not stored by EMA Ventures.
• Payment Information: Subscription and purchase data processed through Apple App Store. We do not store your payment card details directly.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

NP Mentor Nephrology is designed for clinician education and clinical guidance — not for patient management. We do not collect, store, or process any protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable patient data. Do not enter patient information into this App.

3. Third-Party AI Services

NP Mentor Nephrology uses the following third-party AI services to power its features. When you use AI-powered features, your text and voice inputs are sent to these services for processing:

• xAI (Grok AI) — processes your typed text inputs to generate clinical guidance, chatbot responses, and tool outputs. Your inputs are sent to xAI's servers solely to generate AI responses. No account data or personal health records are stored or transmitted. Privacy Policy: x.ai/privacy
• Groq (Whisper API) — processes your voice recordings for transcription into text for the AI Note Scribe feature. Privacy Policy: groq.com/privacy

The app requires your explicit consent before sending any inputs to xAI's Grok AI service. You may withdraw consent and disable AI features at any time from the Privacy and AI Data section in Settings.

By using AI-powered features in the App, you consent to your inputs being sent to these third-party services. No patient-identifying information should ever be entered into the App. These third-party services maintain their own privacy policies and data protection practices.
