1) Who can use Elevate
Elevate is for adults (18+) only. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that someone under 18 is using the app, we will close the account and delete their data. Elevate is not available in Mainland China at this time.
2) Categories of data we collect
- Account data: name and email.
- Onboarding preferences: the improvements or focus areas you select during setup.
- Usage & diagnostics: feature usage, interactions, crash/performance logs, device model, iOS version, and IP address for safety and diagnostics.
- Content you provide: text entries such as routines, notes, and AI messages. We access your device's microphone and speech recognition services solely to enable dictation when answering questionnaires, but we do not record, store, or collect any audio data. We do not collect photos or biometric data.
- Billing metadata: subscription status via Apple. We never receive your full payment instrument.
- Location: with your permission, we collect approximate location (city and country) to personalize Daily Insight suggestions with relevant local activities and opportunities near you. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings. We may also infer country (for example from Apple analytics or IP address) for compliance and localization purposes.
3) Why we process data & legal bases

- Personalize coaching — contract performance / legitimate interests.
- Safety & integrity (rate limits, abuse/fraud detection, security monitoring) — legitimate interests / legal obligations.
- Communications (service emails) — contract performance / legitimate interests.
- Compliance (tax, accounting, data protection duties, rights requests) — legal obligations.
- Automated decision-making: We use automated analysis to tailor habit suggestions. This does not produce legal or similarly significant effects. You can object under GDPR/UK GDPR and may disable personalization features if available.
4) Selling or sharing data
We do not sell personal information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. If that ever changes we will present a "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanism before the change takes effect.
