## Overview

QazaTracker ("the App") is a prayer tracking application for Muslims. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

## Data We Collect

### Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account:

- Birth date, gender, and madhhab (Islamic school of jurisprudence)
- Prayer completion records
- App preferences and settings

This data is **never sent to our servers**. It stays on your device and syncs only through your personal iCloud account, which is managed by Apple.

### Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve the user experience. Firebase may collect:

- **Usage data**: screens viewed, features used, session duration
- **Device information**: device model, operating system version, language
- **App instance identifiers**: anonymous IDs used to count unique users (not linked to your identity)
- **Crash and performance data**: information about app crashes and performance metrics

This data is **anonymous** and **not linked to your identity**. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information.

### User Properties

We store the following anonymous user properties in Firebase Analytics to better understand our audience:

- Gender (male/female)
- Madhhab (Islamic school)
- App language
- Total prayers completed (count only)

These properties are not linked to your personal identity.

## Data We Do NOT Collect

- Names or email addresses
- Location data
- Photos or media
- Contacts
- Financial information
- Health data
- Advertising identifiers

## Third-Party Services

### Firebase Analytics (Google)

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Their data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy: <https://policies.google.com/privacy>

Firebase Analytics does not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes in our implementation.

### Apple iCloud

Your prayer data syncs via iCloud, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: <https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/>

## Data Retention

- **Local data**: Stored on your device as long as the App is installed.
- **iCloud data**: Managed by your iCloud account settings.
- **Analytics data**: Retained by Firebase for 14 months, then automatically deleted.

## Your Rights

- **Delete local data**: Uninstall the App to remove all local data.
- **Delete iCloud data**: Manage through Settings > Apple ID > iCloud on your device.
- **Opt out of analytics**: You can limit analytics collection through your device's privacy settings.

## Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App is designed for Muslims of all ages tracking their prayer obligations.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
