Enqode collects only the information necessary to operate and improve the flashcard application. We do not sell personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Email address and, optionally, name obtained through Sign in with Apple or Google.
- User Content: Text you enter or import, including notes, prompts, or document text used for AI deck generation.
- Purchases: Subscription status and purchase history managed through RevenueCat.
- Identifiers: A user ID (such as your Firebase UID) used for authentication and entitlement management.
- Optional Media (Current Version): Photos and audio attachments to cards are stored locally on your device and not uploaded to our servers in this version.
- Notifications (Current Version): Notification reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Device push tokens are not collected in this version.
3. How We Use Information
- App Functionality: Authenticate users, enable features, calculate statistics, and provide study experiences.
- AI Features: Send your prompts or notes to our backend (and to OpenAI via our backend) only to generate requested content such as hints or decks.
- Purchases: Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and determine premium access.
- Security and Integrity: Prevent fraud, maintain service reliability, and protect the platform.
- Support: Respond to inquiries and assist with technical issues.
4. User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create or import. You are responsible for ensuring that any third-party content you upload or import does not infringe the rights of others. Your content is processed only to deliver app functionality, including AI-based generation when explicitly requested.
