Pupl is designed with your privacy in mind.

Everything you share with Pupl is stored locally on your device and is never shared with the developers, Apple, or any third party.

This includes your assignment data (assignments, tests, quizzes, etc.), your name, anything related to your assignments like subtasks or due dates, course data (instructor's name and contact information), and your grades.

Some diagnostic information, like crash reports, is sent to the developer on a regular basis but is not linked to you and does not contain any personal information. We use this data to improve the app experience by fixing crashes and bugs. This information is not shared with any third party and is removed once a fix for a particular issue is identified.

Backup and sync is handled through iCloud. You can learn more about Apple's privacy policy below:

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

No personal or identifying information is saved by the app or sent to the developers. This includes assignments, courses, and all other user information entered into the app. For this reason, use of the app remains completely anonymous and no information is stored, transferred, or sold to the app developer or any third-parties.

Diagnostic information, like crash reports, will be sent to the developer to improve the quality of the app. This information will never be used outside of development, is not sent to third parties, and will be used for the sole purpose of continued development. It will be removed once the data has been used to identify a solution to an issue.

If you are participating in a beta test through TestFlight and are using iOS 13 or later, you will have the option to send feedback when you take a screenshot in a beta build of the app. If you use this feature, any identifying or personal information in that screenshot will be sent to the developer.

Users using iCloud will have their information stored on Apple's servers through the iCloud service which allows app content to be synced on all your devices. See Apple's privacy policy here: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
