Not all barbarians channel primal spirits or ancient wrath. Some just grew up in rail camps, cattle towns, and busted saloons. The Roughneck is a brawler forged in sweat and shattered bones — a living battering ram that turns barstools into weapons and rage into blunt-force poetry. Whether it’s a bottle, a boot, or a broken table leg, a Roughneck knows one truth: anything can be a weapon if you hit hard enough.
3rd Level: Brawler’s Instincts
You’ve learned to turn every part of your body — and anything in reach — into a weapon.
- While raging:
- Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 + Strength modifier and count as magical.
- You are proficient with improvised weapons, which deal 1d8 + Strength modifier in your hands.
- Once per turn, when you hit with an unarmed strike or improvised weapon, you deal bonus damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
At 10th level, your unarmed and improvised weapon attacks ignore resistance to bludgeoning damage.
🧱 3rd Level: Live for the Fight
- While raging:
- You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks to shove a creature.
- You have resistance to being shoved or knocked prone.
- When you successfully shove a creature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Strength modifier (minimum 1). This benefit can trigger once per turn.
6th Level: Saloon Smasher
You move through walls like other people move through doors.
- You have advantage on attack rolls against objects, constructs, and structures.
- If you move through a window, door, fence, or similar barrier with 15 or fewer hit points, you automatically smash through it without spending extra movement or needing to make a check.
- When you do so, you can immediately move an additional 10 feet in the same direction without provoking opportunity attacks.
- While raging, your unarmed and improvised weapon attacks deal +2 damage
10th Level: Clear the Road
- While raging, each time you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or improvised weapon, you may immediately attempt to shove that creature as part of the same attack.
