Session Overview
Sam asked to rebuild his master "My Communication & Working Preferences" document. This is the document that tells every AI session (Claude, Perplexity, Cursor, or anything else) how to behave when working with him: brand voice, firm details, technical rules, credentials, workflow patterns, and design specs.
A previous Perplexity session on April 8 attempted this but produced only a working draft with 11 unresolved gaps. Sam described that session as not doing "the homework to nail this." This Cowork session picked up the work, resolved all open questions directly with Sam, pulled context from BRAND-NOTES.md, firm-briefing.skill.md, AI-CONVENTIONS.md, and the CLAUDE.md project instructions, and produced a comprehensive final document.
What Was Accomplished
A complete, ground-up rebuild of the preferences document was created at:

The document consolidates information from:
- The original preferences document (already in Sam's Claude settings)
- The UPDATE supplement Sam had pasted into sessions
- BRAND-NOTES.md (Agent-Playbook folder)
- firm-briefing.skill.md (Skills_Library)
- AI-CONVENTIONS.md (repo root)
- CLAUDE.md project instructions
- Sam's direct answers to clarifying questions during this session

- Who I Am: Sam's role, background, how he works
- The Firm: Name, entity, offices, phone numbers (all 5), practice areas, recognition, differentiators
- Default Behavior for AI Sessions: Do-it-yourself rule, API/SSH-first rule, skill-check-first rule, session export rule, context limit handling
- Communication and Writing Style: Tone, professional communication preferences, formatting rules (no em dashes, no italics on headers)
- Marketing and Branding: Brand voice, reading level, banned words, key messaging, messaging rules for ads, copy priorities
