Poster instructions

Your poster presentation will be held from 1:30-2:00pm Eastern Time (ET) if you are presenting on Thursday November 11, 2021 or Saturday November 13, 2021, and will be held from 2:00-2:30pm ET if you are presenting on Friday November 12, 2021. Your scheduled date is specified in your email confirmation. During your scheduled poster presentation time, attendees will be directed to view your narrated virtual poster by navigating to a provided link. However, poster presentations will also be made available on the virtual platform for the entire duration of the conference.

Poster presentations will be held asynchronously via YouTube, but you will be expected to be present to answer questions using the Comment function during your specified presentation time. To do this, please ensure that you have created a YouTube account in advance of your presentation date and be logged in prior to your presentation time on your scheduled date.

Your virtual poster should consist of a single static poster image/slide (i.e., no animations, apart from zooming in on various parts of the poster), with a pre-recorded voiceover to walk the audience through your poster. The length of the presentation must not exceed 3 minutes.

There are several ways in which you can prepare your recording:

  1. Zoom – record audio and video synced with your presentation file in Zoom
  2. Microsoft PowerPoint – Record audio (no video) along with your presentation in PowerPoint
  3. Keynote – Record audio (no video) along with your presentation in Keynote

Your final presentation must be exported and submitted as an .MP4 file to the Google Drive folder provided to you in your confirmation email, on or before Thursday November 4, 2021 at 12pm ET.
