Other anticipations on the result of change
Order congestion issue on the contract tables
- Rohan from EOS Authority:
pointed out that it is fair to assume that when this is fully rolled out every active user will use rentbw and we will see a large list of orders on the contract tables for 30 days with a count greater than Monthly Active accounts on the EOS network.
Implication for account creation services
- Aaron Cox from Gerymass:
This new model will likely require new accounts to have a bit more minimum ram if they were previously using delegations. The account creation services already using REX to rent for newly created accounts will likely not need to be adjusted, since they're already using effectively the same amount of ram for new accounts - but if any out there still delegate small amounts upon creation those will need to be ready for the change. If services out there are using delegations still, might be time for them to switch over to rentals in advance to be prepared. Once they're using rentals, the code they write for todays systems should work under the new system.
How we deal with mining contracts
- Yves from EOS Nation:
There won't be a situation where there are unused resources - the market will use them, likely in a mining contract.
EOS Mainnet cannot handle 100% utilization.
- Michael from eosDAC:
My main concern is that the network cannot handle 100% resource utilisation anyway so that is a good thing.
