A short review of the competition that happened this year

Vibration Testing

• Arducam lens fell out
• Magnetorquer (1) fell out

Software Demo

• GNC magnetorquer demo went well, was well received
• We got telemetry from the board, so comms was in a decent condition
• Arducam example did not work, had a low success rate in the first placeSoftware Demo

Technical

What went well

• SW demos for the most part went good/as planned (definitely did not drag the team down)
  • GNC demo - command to drive PWM to motors to drive current through magnetorquer and show gaussmeter readings
  • CDH demo - use website to add command to a session, run state mgr which grabs the commands and sends to the board, receives
• Our CDH is pretty good right now (except Telemetry)
• GS is pretty good right now

What we can improve

• Integration points (esp. with elec)
  • EPS/BMS
    • Had nothing to show → need bring up for MPPT
  • Payload
    • Payload was fully cooked - demo did not work
    • New payload with waterloo space research team? Need to push for this.
  • GNC
    • A GNC SW side state manager - depending on what the payload is we can have different states” our satellite can be in - eg. Detumbling, SA deployment, Attitude pointing, Sun Tracking
    • HITL interfacing on an AIT board with flatsat (and test cages) to demo GNC algorithms as well
• Hacky implementations for the sake of comp
  • Rev4 halcogen is lowkey fucked
• GS need revamping
