Where I'm at: 2.1 and couldn't continue.

Which course did you decide to follow?

The GIT course since by the time of writing this (12/11/2020) I have no idea of how it works and it hasn't been explained well enough in school.

What have you learned?

First of all, some things I feel like I have to say, this however does not have anything to do with the course itself but is more like a review because this course pissed me off so much that I couldn't be silent about it, so we can have better courses in the future. So I learned that the man talking has a lisp which makes it really difficult to listen to him and take him seriously. What also really surprised me is that the course was for Mac computers even though that we always use Windows, making it difficult to follow along and make my own files so I gave up on that since there were no explanations whatsoever. The software we needed to download was barely explained and since Mac was quite different and the man gave barely any explanations about any settings, which was really infuriating. This tutorial was so bad in my opinion that I had to look up external videos on how to do a lot of things, like creating a git repository and why my actions weren't working the way they were in the course. After going through this first part, I was already ready to quit, mind that I'm at video 1.3 and already unhappy and ready to leave.

Now for real, after that long and tiring fiasco, I continued on hoping that something would overlap with the Windows version. After a while of trying to figure 90% out by myself (using either the internet or pressing buttons hoping it would work) I got some stuff that actually worked. I managed to create a git repository and manage files in there after like an hour or longer. The remote repository didn't work the way it was described in the video and I couldn't get it to work sadly enough.

What did you find difficult

The darned course.

What went easy?

NOTHING.

Here is shown what I made:
