Excess erythropoietin
• cerebellar haemangioma
- hepatoma
- phaeochromocytoma
- hypernephroma
- polycystic/transplant kidneys; RCC
- uterine leiomyoma/fibroma
Also Relative polycythemia secondary to plasma volume loss (eg, dehydration, excessive diureses)
RBC mass, SaOw, and EPO level are all normal.
