Thanks for taking the time and contributing to our research! As huge proponents of intentionality and not wasting your time, here’s an attempt at making our research process as transparent as possible. As a designer, who may have an appreciation for the human-centered approach to design yourself — you deserve visibility into how your participation and feedback is put to use, and the option to be as much or as little involved in shaping the research experience as you’d like.
<aside> 📢 Note: Please do not feel obligated to read any of the following, simply taking the time to discuss your creative workflow and mindset with us is more than enough! We know that AI systems can often feel like a blackbox, so this is just an effort to demystify the origins and considerations that goes into building our creative tools

As mentioned, our new tool enables you to generate SVG assets, which involves a new AI architecture that allows for multimodal conditioning (telling the AI what to generate through text, reference image, sketch, etc) and set completion (e.g. potentially generating the rest of an illustration set based on an image’s style, a font based on a glyph's design characteristics, etc).
For the purposes of our product, the term ‘conditioning’ will refer to any mode through which you may want to interact with the AI, including but not limited to
⌨️ Text prompting (describe your asset in words)
✍️ Sketch prompting (draw a quick sketch as guidance)
🖌️ Region masking of conditions (using a brush to define the areas you want to edit)
💬 Instruction-based editing (describe the changes you want to make in words, mask free)
🖼️ Image style embed (upload an image as guidance)
🎨 Palette input (select your own color palette)

We’re very much in the foundational research phase of the design thinking process. This means for us, we want to hear everything about your workflow, from the tools you use to the way you think — we want to hear you nerd out about your creative process. For you, the power is in your hands to tell us the features and capabilities that we can build to compliment your workflow. More often than not, our earliest research participants see their concepts come to life — from a point where the technology didn’t exist, to a working product in the matter of weeks or months.
