Social Media Strategy for MLA Jay Dholakia

Client: Jay Dholakia, BJP Candidate (Now MLA, Nuapada District, Odisha)

Challenge: Following his father's sudden passing in Sept 2025, Jay Dholakia inherited a political legacy but had virtually no social media presence. With negligible followers and zero engagement, he needed to quickly establish credibility among youth voters

My Role: Complete social media campaign management—on-ground content creation, video editing, posting strategy, and audience engagement across Instagram and Facebook.

Approach:

I went on ground to capture authentic campaign moments, edited content tailored for local audiences in Nuapada, and managed daily posting schedules. Despite never working with political content before, I studied the constituency's demographics and crafted a social media strategy that resonated with both rural and urban youth voters.

Results:

Key Takeaway: This project demonstrated my ability to adapt content strategy for completely unfamiliar audiences and deliver measurable impact. Understanding platform algorithms, audience psychology, and regional nuances proved crucial in building a winning digital presence that complemented ground-level political work.
