Summary

This most recent patch contains a new game mode that simplifies settlement for commissioners by engaging the players to record their buy ins and cash outs. Players only need a game code to join live games.

After joining, players will be able to generate buy in and cash out requests that commissioners approve. The entire process is mobile friendly and the interface will adjust to whether you are a commissioner or a player.

At the end of the game, the commissioner finalizes the game, tallying all the chip actions and sending out individual email (see below) to all of the participants with a summary and instructions to pay.

This means no more data entry from the commissioner.

FAQ

• Are players required to have Venmo to check out chips?
  • Yes, if they join a game and do not have a Venmo connected to their profile, it will not allow them to request chips. Ping me to add additional settlement methods.
• Where does the summary email go to?
  • Players can join either through social login or email login, either way we will have a record of their email. When the game is finalized, the email will go there

Commissioner Walkthrough

1. You now have the ability to create a “Live Game”. There is a different screen for a “Live” game vs. what commissioners are used to in the game details for a game
   1. The game mode is Live by default. Toggling the switch below at game creation will produce the history game type you have seen before
   2. When a game is finalized, it will convert into a historical game (what you are used to seeing before where you can add and remove player totals)

1. Commissioners can invite players to games by copying this link and sending it out. Links will look like: https://www.pokerpayout.xyz/join/8032

   1. Player can also join by simply going to https://www.pokerpayout.xyz/join and entering the code

   

2. Players (and You) will have the ability to buy in and cash out chips. When players submit either of these requests, they will require commissioner approval

   1. When a commissioner creates these for themselves, they do not require approval

   

3. When a player creates a buy in or cash out request, they will appear in a Pending Actions table for commissioners only. Commissioners use the actions on the right to approve or reject these actions

   

4. An action summary of the actions is included on the page for your review of all of the actions taken during the game
