One Does Not Simply...Become a Player?

Anybody can join our Discord and lurk in the bottom levels. This is where the initial understandings are established and things start to spiral out. However, becoming an actual Player requires more than just dropping in our Discord and saying hi 👋.

1. Members start as Invertebrates and advance as they participate.

2. Showing signs of curiosity earns you the Curious Octo role, opening up a small portion of our Discord. Pick a role in #role-select to reveal a relevant channel

3. Attending the Onboarding Cohort Call awards the Engaged Octo role, opening up a larger part of our Discord

4. Maintaining quality activity as an Engaged Octo, participating and collaborating with other members might earn you the Player role

   

The reason we outline MIGHT is because there are no guarantees or checklists for becoming a Player. Before each Minting, internal guild innkeepers meet and gauge potential graduates.

The criteria is based on:

🏃 Activity (~20xp weekly, can vary depending on roles)

🙏 Alignment (Honoring our values, displaying an understanding of the vision)

🏆 Quality (Bringing us forward to our goals, non-gaming of the cred system)

• Only Players and Patrons are eligible for $SEED Minting

• Attending the Friday Weekly Cohort can provide valuable insight and grants the Engaged Octo role

  • Check the Engaged Octo Path there to gain a sense of framework

• While Engaged, you can still earn XP

• Upon graduation from Engaged to Player, $SEEDs are retroactively distributed

• Don't stress about your exact XP number

• Communicate, collaborate, show up on calls
