Ecoregions not usda zones
Zones of Use (Behavior-Based Planning)
Zones are organized by frequency of human interaction, NOT plant type.
- Zone 0 - Human Hub: Primary living / gathering space.
- Zone 1 - Daily Attention: Kitchen gardens, herbs, compost, frequently harvested crops
- Zone 2 - Regular Attention: Perennials, orchards, systems needing weekly management
- Zone 3 - Occasional Attention: Larger-scale production or lower-maintenance crops ivisted periodically
- Zone 4 - Semi-Managed: Foraging areas, timber, or minimally managed systems.
- Zone 5 - Wild: Observation & ecological reference area. No intentional management.

Sectors (External/Uncontrollable Forces)
- Sun (seasonal) - Angle & intensity change throughout the year.
- Wind - Dominant Directions, storm winds, winter vs summer patterns.
- Water - Rainfall patterns, runoff paths, storm events, drainage.
- Views - Desired views to preserve and unwanted views to screen.
- Noise - Traffic, neighbors, mechanical systems.
- Wildlife - Movement corridors, pressure, habitat influence.
- Human Access - Pedestrain or vehicle movement patterns.
