- Variegated leaves (have both green and white parts) ~ starch is only present in green parts because they have the chlorophyll to allow photosynthesis —> glucose produced —> converted to starch
- Leaves covered in tinfoil ~ starch is only present in exposed areas because access to light is needed for photosynthesis —> glucose produced —> converted to starch
