Personal Leave Policy
Purpose
We understand that teammates may face deeply personal and difficult circumstances, such as the loss of a loved one or a serious family emergency, that require time away from work. Our Personal Leave policy is designed to provide paid time off to support teammates during these times without added stress.
Eligibility
We provide up to two weeks of paid Personal Leave to all regular full-time teammates, with extensions considered on a case-by-case basis. Any Personal Leave requests must be approved by your manager and the People Team.
Notification Process
- Teammates should notify their manager and the People Team as soon as possible and share the expected duration of leave.
- Once approved by the People Team, you should log your days off in the Time off by Deel (Slack app) and select Personal Leave with your out of office dates. This is a required step and can only be taken once you have People Team approval.
- Be sure to update your Slack status with the “Away” indicator (not the palm tree symbol).
Pay & Benefits
- Personal Leave is paid at the teammate’s regular base pay rate. There will be no formal reduction in quota during Personal Leave. Any earned commission will be paid out following the standard pay cycle.
- Benefits coverage continues without interruption.
Performance
- When evaluating performance, we take Personal Leave into consideration to ensure teammates are not penalized for time away.
Confidentiality
We respect teammates’ privacy. Details shared about the situation will remain confidential and only communicated on a need-to-know basis.
