Three Tools; a Movement Workshop

The Workshop

Rather than focusing on a particular vocabulary or technique this workshop takes three fundamental tools used across different movement practices: perception, imagination, and trance in order to grant students more learning autonomy, experiential breadth, and insight depth across their practices.

Ideal for those who sense movement to be metaphysical, this workshop will touch the philosophical; we will take support on philosophers of movement to enlarge and clarify the possibilities of our practices.

Expect short readings (to complete before the workshop); solo, partner, and group exercises; a group drink/ lunch at the end of each course for longer discussions; lots of reading and practice recommendations to continue the exploration.

(An alternative name for this course would have been: Cheap Travels! For the body is an endless landscape.)

The Schedule
