PayPal is one of the most widely used digital payment platforms globally. Despite its scale and trust as a brand, everyday money transfers on mobile can still feel uncertain—especially during moments like processing, pending states, or cross-source payments.

This project was a self-initiated UX exploration focused on understanding how design decisions can reduce anxiety and increase confidence during high-stakes money interactions.


Why This Project Was Initiated

While using PayPal regularly, I noticed moments of hesitation during simple actions like sending money:

These questions surfaced even though PayPal is a trusted brand.

This highlighted a gap between brand trust and interface-level trust.

The goal of this project was to explore how clarity, visibility, and reassurance could be improved without introducing new features.
