Overview
Problem
Students are within a different stage of personal development. Professional content and methods can be out of reach for many of them. Skill enhancement, motivating, and inspirational content do not respond to their personal problems and confusions. Together with physical health, these areas occupy most of the personal development demand on the market, generating an overwhelming amount of information labelled as problem solvers.
- Solutions from external providers cannot target personal problems, they tend to weigh methods and behavior changes heavily, the provided information is also unstructured. As a result, we often find them ineffective.
- On the other side, our target audience, students, tend to stick to smaller focus areas instead of zooming out for a larger picture while doing self-reflections. They prioritize everyday actions and behaviours and are concerned the most about their past. As a result, they cannot gain deeper insights into the problem they’ve recognized, let alone find a solution responding to the root cause.
Some students believe that external information can fix their problems, but the truth is they may not understand the root cause of their problems. They are using ineffective external solutions for misjudged internal issues and conflicts. Therefore students may recognize the value of personal development, but they too get lost in it.
