3. What Data We Collect

3.1 Article Text

When you click the PassageIQ extension icon on a webpage, the extension extracts the readable text content of that article. This text is sent to our backend server for the sole purpose of generating practice questions.

• We extract only the article body text using Mozilla's Readability.js library
• We do not extract passwords, form data, payment information, or any input you have typed
• We do not extract data from pages you visit without clicking the extension icon
• Article text extraction is entirely user-initiated — it only happens when you click the icon
