  1. fuselage - the part which contains the passengers, crew and cargo
  2. nose - the front part of the fuselage
  3. tail - the section at the back of the airplane
  4. flight deck - the part of the fuselage behind the nose where the pilots fly the aircraft from
  5. cockpit - flight deck is more commonly called the cockpit
  6. cabin - the section of the plane where the passengers travel in
  7. baggage hold - the section under the cabin where the passengers suitcases, bags and other things are carried
  8. landing gear - the wheels which an aircraft uses when travelling on the ground
  9. wings - the two long horizontal parts of the aircraft attached to the middle part of the fuselage
  10. jet engines - machines which power the aircraft so it can move and fly
  11. propeller - for smaller sircraft, powered by a propeller which is normally attached to the nose of the airplane
